Lilac first blooms

darkcedarsI had no idea it was white! We had chopped it back to the ground when we moved in because it was so enormous and straggly (seriously up to the second floor windows), so it didn't bloom last spring.
Going to consider taking out one of the spirea (there's a bunch) to make some room for a purple lilac.
