T. Kingfisher - A Wizard's Guide To Defensive Baking - this was adorable and I loved every minute. MC is a magic user, but her affinity is ... bread. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Naomi Novik - A Deadly Education - I liked all her books, but I was unsure about a school-based book. Liked it more than anything else so far. Sequel out next year.
