Leaving Rav (part 2)
Nov. 24th, 2020 04:06 pmToday I finished backing up my projects from Ravelry. That was a bittersweet process. As I went back in time I could see how much slower I work as a crafter as my health issues increased. Baby blankets I made. Wedding presents. I was a little surprised at how many views some of my projects have gotten. Huh. Did cry a *little* at different points.
Finished (edit - finished library quicker than anticipated
To do still:
Really loving Bublup to store all my "how to" and individual project links in organized folders. It's going to house my queue and favorites. It also "bubbles up" suggestions for my folders and I've already discovered some blogs I'd never heard of.
I've talked to more new people since leaving Ravelry and joined more communities than I have in years. I just don't want to lose old friends to gain new.

- projects
- stash - downloaded as spreadsheet, deleted active stash on Rav so won't get inquiries about buying leftover yarn. At some point I'll need to decide what form this takes in the future. *Probably* a multitab spreadsheet by size, as the majority of my stash is thread.
- library - had downloaded the spreadsheet version, had to download the Rav PDFs. Took less time than I realized. All saved in my google drive now.
To do still:
- queue - if any are Rav-only downloads will need to decide.
- favorites - I'd taken to saving borders and tips in here as well. sigh.
- hooks inventory - still not sure what to do with it. Only real reason I do this is I have hooks with different sizing marks and I don't want to confuse which is which.
- new moderator for my little group on Rav. Asked if they wanted to move somewhere with me, only got a couple of yeses.
